UF/MF Module Selection Flexibility: A Decade After the Introduction of the “Universal” Rack
Overview:
The UF/MF market used to be dominated by proprietary system designs which could only accommodate one manufacturer’s technology. Unfortunately, that left many end users in difficult positions related to performance issues, replacement module pricing, after sales support, etc.. About 10 years, so-called, “Universal” racks were introduced to the UF/MF market to combat these sorts of problems. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the current state of UF/MF module selection flexibility. We will review the open-platform systems that are available on the market, as well as modules that have been developed to be interchangeable with legacy products.
