Commissioning of Two Large Seawater UF Pre-treatment Systems: Comparing Pressure and Submerged

Two large desalination facilities in Australia are compared; the Perth system uses a pressurized UF while Adelaide employs a submerged UF process. This paper compares the commissioning strategies and challenges associated with each of these UF systems. In addition to start-up challenges, a comparison of the initial operating data of the full scale systems with the pilot data is provided
