AMTA/SEDA Joint Technology Transfer Workshop
PFAS and Emerging Contaminant Rejection by Membranes
This AMTA/SEDA Joint Technology Transfer Workshop will focus on membrane use in the treatment of emerging contaminants with a focus on PFAS. The perfluorinated compounds have proven difficult to treat using conventional methods; membranes provide a robust and reliable means to remove PFAS from water. Attendees will learn about how membranes are being used to treat various water matrices more effectively and efficiently. The workshop will open with an “up to the minute” federal and state regulatory summary and background. Topics covered in the two-day workshop will include treatability challenges, concentrate management, approaches to controlling fouling, and research results. Case studies, foundational overviews, and cutting-edge research focused on treatment solutions round out the agenda. In addition, the program includes a panel discussion with leading membrane manufacturers that will highlight the challenges vendors have in developing products to treat emerging contaminants and meeting the evolving contract expectations of the industry. The workshop experience will be rounded out with an on-site facility tour and opportunities to network, exchanging ideas with others in this industry.
Please check back soon, program will be available soon.
