This AMTA/SCMA Joint Technology Transfer Workshop will focus on inland brackish water desalination, concentrate management and potable reuse topics. Attendees will learn how regional water challenges are being satisfied with membrane and advanced technologies, emerging technologies for desalination including incorporation of solar energy into desalination schemes and how these technologies will fit into existing and planned TCEQ regulations. Topics covered will include regional water quality challenges, high tech desalination and an outlook on the future of the membrane treatment industry. The workshop will include site tours of Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant and Enviro Water Minerals Facility, case studies, foundational overviews, and cutting edge research in treatment solutions.
