Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration Standardization – A Review of Current Mechanical and Process Convergence and a Look Forward.

Without a standard approach to process and mechanical convergence of MF and UF treatment systems, end users and consulting engineers continue to deal with one-of-a-kind, non-interchangeable and incompatible systems. This does not help in expanding the low pressure membrane adoption from a technical and cost perspective. This paper will review the problem at hand in terms of mechanical and process convergence and review the progress that has already been achieved to date.
