The presentation will give an overview of the water treatment process at the North Bay membrane filtration water plant. I will discuss treatment objectives and how they are being met by the different unit processes (membrane filtration, UV inactiviation, chlroine disinfection). I will discuss operational challenges with the facilites and how they have been overcome. I will discuss sustainability of the facility including multi-stage membrane system, chemical cleaning re-use, variable output UV inactivation. The presentation is about the operation of a membrane filtration water treatment plant which applies directly to water operators.
