Dr. Irving Moch has received the AMTA Presidential Award from AMTA President Scott Freeman for his many years of service on the AMTA Board of Directors and most recent activity as a Director Emeritus. The award reads:
“In recognition of Irving Moch’s extraordinary leadership in the fields of desalination and membrane water treatment, including his more than fifty years of service at DuPont Permasep and his firm, Moch & Associates, countless volunteer hours assisting the AMTA Board as a Director, as well as scholarly authorship and editing for publications, conferences, and industry standards.”
Irving is stepping down from his Director Emeritus position on the AMTA Board of Directors and will be greatly missed. He has served as Director Emeritus since 2002 and was a key organizer of many of the Membrane Technology Conferences that were held during those years.
The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) is a non-profit organization focused on providing educational and networking opportunities regarding membrane water treatment and desalination to about 900 members across North America. These water and wastewater treatment membranes range from reverse osmosis (RO) for seawater desalination and nanofiltration (NF) for water softening to microfiltration to ultrafiltration (MF/UF) to remove pathogens at drinking water facilities and membrane bioreactors (MBR) for wastewater treatment. More information is available at the website: https://www.amtaorg.com/
The American Membrane Technology Association’s mission is to promote, advocate and advance the understanding and application of membrane technology to create safe, affordable and reliable water supplies, and to treat municipal, industrial, agricultural and waste waters for beneficial use. AMTA provides broad opportunities for the exchange of technical, operational and financial information among individuals and organizations interested in membrane technologies. As the leading advocate of membrane processes in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America, AMTA is a strong voice for regulatory and legislative reforms essential to the understanding, acceptance and utilization of membrane technologies.
