An overview and tour of the City of Scottsdale’s 20 mgd advance water treatment plant (AWT). Scottsdale’s AWT takes tertiary treated effluent, processes it through an ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis process for delivery to 22 golf course for irrigation needs and or distribution into 63 vadoze zone injection wells for groundwater recharge of a potable water aquifer. It is one of the largest most advanced indirect potable reuse projects implementing membrane technology in the United States.
