The IFAS-MBR Process: a compact combination of biofilm and MBR Technology for reuse

Study evaluates the use of the combination of both a membrane bioreactor and an integrated fixed film bioreactor in order to reduce site footprint requirements. Pilot testing of the system yielded stable permeability and high level of contaminant removal. Design yields very compact system with high quality effluent for reuse.
