Membrane Cleaning and System Integrity

This presentation provides an overview of membrane cleaning and system integrity testing. It describes how both MF/UF and RO membranes require cleaning to restore lost performance. It explains when to clean; what chemicals to use; and key elements of cleaning operations. This paper emphasize that adequate pretreatment and proper operation will go a long way toward minimizing associated maintenance activities.
