The purpose of this presentation was to present the problems associated with placing on line different water supplies; particularly with emphasis on blending permeate water into existing water systems. Also discussed is integration of membrane treated groundwater supplies with surface water and desalinated brackish water and/or seawater supplies and the impacts on chemistry and existing infrastructure. Mitigation concepts are also presented. Case study examples of systems that have converted to multiple water systems are discussed. This presentation provides an example framework from which water purveyors can further evaluate blending of multiple sources without impacts to an existing water distribution system
