Cost of Desalination

This presentation provides an overview of membrane treatment costs, particularly as they relate to the removal of CECs with membranes. The talk will discuss impacts that influence capital and operating costs, including feed water salinity, pretreatment requirements and brine disposal options. The impact of renewable energy and energy recovery on long term operating costs will also be discussed. Examples case studies will be given to demonstrate how costs come together.
