Electrodialysis Metathesis: A New Brine Minimization Technology

This presentation discusses the practical application of electrodialysis metathesis (EDM), as experienced while operating two pilots in Colorado, including information on how the EDM system differs from traditional electrodialysis (ED) and the various options for coupling the EDM system with reverse osmosis (RO) / nanofiltration (NF). Data on water quality, EDM performance, and NF performance is presented, along with information on lessons learned and suggestions for applicability of this technology in the current economic climate.
