HAOPs Pretreatment to (Nearly) Eliminate UF Fouling by NOM

Pilot and lab tests were ran to prove effectiveness of HAOPs for removal of Natural Organic Matter (NOM) from surface waters. HAOP can be used as an adsobent in a precipitation method before MF (microlfiltration) or UF (ultrafiltration) or can be used as a coating on the membranes themselves. Effectiveness will be determined by improvement and stabilization of flux using backwash.
