A food processing facility that makes prepared meats upgraded their wastewater treatment system to MBR because of its capabilities to handle the facilities new requirements. A MBR system satisfied their requirements for increased treatment with variable flow with a small available footprint. A ceramic membrane was selected to provide stable performance for this high FOG waste stream and easy operation and maintenance. Operational and maintenance experience will be highlighted from the two years of operation.
