This paper is a case study that compares five different industrial membrane treatment units in an effort to evaluate the potential installation of a new permanent water treatment plant facility to replace the current leased water treatment trailers, resolve the water quality issues associated with finished water, and address current concerns with further aquifer drawdown. Included are the use of microfiltration pilot units to test the various raw water quality blending scenarios that may occur during full-scale operation. The results of the pilot and proposed full scale design conditions are also discussed.
