The recycle and reuse of wastewaters for industrial applications has been around for a long time. Recent environmental, regulatory, and economic developments have made it essential for Companies to consider recycle and reuse for their growth and sustainability goals. This creates the need for solutions to more challenging applications that were previously considered unworkable and on a growing scale in the search for a commercially viable solution. Companies’ decisions for recycle and reuse must meet their economic goals. Two facilities are described here, both having to deal with a challenge of abrasive solids, found their technical and commercial solution using ceramic flat sheet membrane (CFM).
