A 150 gpm temporary desalination pilot facility was designed and installed to determine if potable water could be reliably and economically produced from the San Pasqual GW Basin. Five identical constructed wetland basins, one batch evaporation control and 4 flow through beds with different halophytes. Two Halophytes showed great promise. More research is needed for this type of water treatment.
