This paper will present the initial findings of a year-long pilot test of a reclaimed water purification system that is currently in procurement and will begin operation in early Fall of 2012. In addition to the membrane processes, the pilot testing will include the first known testing of membrane contactors for removal of dissolved oxygen prior to recharge. The dissolved oxygen removal step is an added measure to address concerns of arsenic mobilization following introduction of the recharge water into the groundwater formation. Optimization of the membrane contactor process with the post treatment stabilization process will also be evaluated and discussed.
