Reality of Membrane Cleaning Onsite

Onsite CIP systems vary significantly depending on manufacturer or system budget. RO CIP process will also vary depending on the type and degree of fouling in the RO system. This presentation will show some examples of various types of CIP systems while discussing the benefit or challenge their specific design poses. Determining foulant type and magnitude based on system performance data will be discussed in addition to chemistry selection. The actual CIP process followed by an individual site is also constrained by other issues including water availability, wastewater capacity, and production requirements. Some examples will be shown on how various sites work around these constraints.
