This paper outlines the development of a toolkit program for concentrate management options. It was designed to be used by designers, contractors and municipal staff involved in a desalination program. The paper also discusses the incorporation of land usage, materials, mechanical and process comparisons. The consideration of membrane technology, accompanied by traditional techniques and processes are discussed to develop a sustainable cost comparison for concentration management.
