The final permeate of a Reverse Osmosis ( RO ) membrane system is a complex blend of water
produced at multiple sites in the overall equipment array. The finished quality is not only dependant on the expected performance of the membrane elements within the pressure vessels but also on ensuring secure connections between elements and end caps. RO system profiling and probing can help determine if there are any problems with the performance of a specific membrane and help identify where corrective efforts should be focused. Interpretation of the data must consider the subtleties in place which are dependant on how the equipment is arranged and what is causing the problems.
