Fouling of RO membranes in wastewater treatment due to organic contaminants is a major challenge which has limited the broad scale implementation of the technology. A variety of detailed studies of WWRO fouling at commercial facilities are examined in this paper to better understand these fouling trends and the role of dissolved organic chemicals
