What does the A, B, C, D and E part mean?
Division 1A = Large Utility (300K+ population served)
Division 1B = Medium Utility (10K-300K population served)
Division 1C = Small Utility (>10K population served)
Division 1D = Industrial User
Division 1E = Regulatory Agency
What are the special benefits for this division membership?
- Reduced rates for AMTA and IDA sponsored events.
- Discounted rates on AMTA publications, advertising and tradeshow exhibit opportunities.
- One-hundred words or less description of the company’s profile for inclusion on the website.
- AMTA will provide a link from AMTA’s website to the company’s website.
- Division 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, and 1E members will receive additional affiliate members with their membership renewal. The designated Division 1 primary member will have discretion upon application and each year at renewal to designate who will receive these additional Division 3C affiliate memberships that are included with their Primary membership. Each Division 1A member will receive 4 additional affiliate members; each 1B includes 4 additional affiliate members; each 1C, 1D and 1E includes 3 additional affiliate members.
Division 2 Membership
Manufacturers, Suppliers and Consulting Firms/Engineers/Architects
What does the A, B, C and D part mean?
Division 2A = Up to 15 Members
Division 2B = Up to 10 Members
Division 2C = Up to 5 Members
Division 2D = Up to 2 Members

- Division 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D members will receive additional affiliate members with their membership renewal. Each Division 2A will receive 14 additional affiliate members; each Division 2B will receive 9 additional affiliate members; each Division 2C will receive 4 additional affiliate members; and each Division 2D will receive 1 additional affiliate member.
Division 3 Membership
Individuals, University/College Professors, Additional Affiliates of Div. 1 and Div. 2
What does the A, B, C and D division mean?
Division 3A = Individuals
Division 3B = University/College Professors
Division 3C = Individuals affiliated with a paid Division 1 member
Division 3D = Individuals affiliated with a paid Division 2 member
What are the limits to this division membership?
- No organization recognition in the Membership Directory for 3A Individual members.
- Individuals and Professors are not eligible to exhibit at most AMTA sponsored events (See event specific information for details)
Division 4 Membership
Full-Time University/College Students
What are the limits to this division membership?
- Division 4 members are not eligible to vote.
- Full-time students must submit a letter from the School Registrar’s office of the University or a supporting letter from their University Professor/Advisor indicating that they are currently enrolled as a full-time student and indicating an anticipated graduation date. Part-time students are not eligible for membership.
- As a condition of receiving a complimentary membership, all Division 4 Members must provide a personal email address and agree to accept email notifications sent from AMTA. A University email address is optional as a second email address and is not an acceptable personal email address.
