The AMTA Student and Young Professionals (SYP) Committee is proud to announce the startup of the AMTA Mentor Program!
What is the AMTA Mentor Program?
An opportunity for SYPs, new members, and first-time MTC attendees to connect with industry professionals and membrane experts.
Why participate?
- The Mentor Program is what you make it. Maximize your networking time at the conference – your Mentor will be able to introduce you to fellow professionals based on your interests.
- Learn more about the industry, AMTA and what it means to be a membrane professional.
- Discuss career goals and opportunities.
How will Mentors/Mentees be matched?
A questionnaire will be available for anyone interested in participating and will help determine pairings based on Mentee stated goals, MTC 2023 attendance plans (in-person or virtual), desired meeting frequency, and additional responses provided.
Where will Mentors/Mentees first meet?
Mentors and Mentees will meet at MTC 2023 in Knoxville, TN. For those not attending MTC, one-on-one virtual meetings can take place. After MTC, Mentors/Mentees can meet virtually as desired.
When and how often will Mentors/Mentees meet?
Pairings will run for one year (from MTC 2023 to MTC 2024) but continuing the Mentor/Mentee relationship after the term is encouraged. Mentor/Mentees can set their own schedule.
Who can be a Mentor/Mentee?
Any AMTA SYP, new AMTA Member, or first-time MTC attendee can be a Mentee. Any AMTA Member with at least two years of membership can be a Mentor.
If you are interested in joining the Mentor Program, please fill out the question to assist with pairing mentors and mentees.
