AMTA Executive Director Harold Fravel and Board Member John Tonner attended the White House Roundtable Forum on Water Innovation in Washington DC on December 15, 2015.
The White House invited individuals from the water industry to come to Washington, DC for a Roundtable on Water Innovations. Discussions centered on water use efficiency and how to develop new supplies of water. The concept for development is being patterned after the White House initiatives taken several years ago to bring down the cost of solar power through development and innovation. More than 50 industry representative attended the Roundtable with AMTA participating in the discussions. Membrane technology will be important to reaching some of the goals that will come out of this and future discussions on water innovations. AMTA will be the voice for membrane technology and will strive that all parties have the facts about membrane performance and capabilities.
